Virginia is coming to Virginia!
The Women of Selket, a dance troupe who have been together for 30 years, are hosting her next weekend in Richmond. Details are here on their site.
Here’s Virginia’s site: BellydanceByVirginia.com
One of her instructional DVDs has a choreo to “My Music Intro”, as seen here – http://youtu.be/jqsw5GiPsOE
Her YouTube channel is full of clips of her performances.
Instructional DVDs (she will likely have these and more for sale, it’s nice to read reviews in advance):
Bellydance One on One Essential Technique with Virginia
Virginia’s Elegant Bellydance Choreography
Raks al Assaya (cane instruction)
Bellydance One-on-One: Complete Combinations and Choreography (song is My Music Intro)
Don’t forget to get a good night’s sleep, bring plenty of water and your notebook, and have some shoe options. Even if you’re used to dancing barefoot, it’s nice to switch to ballet slippers or jazz sneakers when you’re dancing for several hours. Pack your lunch or head over to one of the many little restaurants within a mile of the workshop location (check Google Maps). If you’re staying for the show, you’ll have a few hours for dinner, shopping, etc.
