The Heartbeat of the Dance workshop with Amy "Kiyaana," 1:45 to 3:15 on Saturday, June 22
Follow the drums and your heart in this workshop with Amy “Kiyaana." In this workshop, we will surrender to gravity with movements, such as isolations and shimmies, commonly used in Raqs Sharqi (aka “bellydance.”) Using the rhythms and accents as our guide, we’ll develop combinations for dancing to a short drum solo.
